You are invited to have an item here about your political event. Candidates, political groups, local supporters and opponents of propositions and measures and other pertinent entities may submit items about their fundraisers, forums, group meetings and other events.

Please submit information by email to newshound@contracostainsider.com or through our contact page . Put Political Events Calendar in the subject line.

Items may be submitted at any time, but it is recommended that they be sent at least three weeks prior to the event.

The item should include:

• Name of candidate or group holding the event
• Type of event (dinner, reception, forum, etc.)
• Date and time
• Location
• Cost of attendance (Required)
• Where to get tickets or reservations.
• A contact number for the public
• A contact number for the Insider reporter, if different from the public number

If you regularly notify your members or the press of events or other newsworthy items, you can just add us to your email list.
