What can I expect to learn from the Contra Costa Insider?

The Insider is a non-partisan journal that will attempt to tell you what’s going on in the county’s government and political affairs. Most of us are professional journalists who will use standard journalistic practices to assure that our material meets the standards of the industry.


Where do you get your material?

Much of our material is a matter of public record. Much of it, such as campaign finance reports in partisan races, already available on the Internet. However, we will try to make sense of it for you. Other news items will be based on the news happenings as gathered by our staff.


How do I submit story ideas?

We welcome your story ideas and tips. Send them to us at newshound@contracostainsider.com. We will not use material that we cannot verify to our satisfaction.


How do I subscribe or unsubscribe to the e-mail newsletter?

Go to our registration page or look for the links in our e-mail notices. You can unsubscribe by sending a note to signmeup@contracostainsider.com with "unsubscribe" in the subject line.


Why should I register?

Registered users will get e-mail notices when we have a hot new story!


How do I make comments or suggestions?

Send an e-mail to insider@contracostainsider.com. We regret that we do not have the staff to make personal responses to all our e-mails, but we welcome your input.


How do I submit bug reports such as pages failing to load, broken links, etc.?

Just let our webmaster know.


May I use your content in my own website or other publications?

Some material will be directly copyrighted, as indicated by the copyright logo © and may not be used without permission. Contact Editor Pat Keeble at newshound@contracostainsider.com for permission.
